How to create trash basket in solidworks for beginners
Trash baskets are something that can be seen everywhere in our daily lives.
Today we will create a complete trash basket shape in SolidWorks.
The modeling is relatively simple, using some basic surface modeling commands. Please read it patiently。
The following are detailed steps for modeling a garbage basket:
Step #1.Create a sketch on the front view
Step #2.Following the sketch above, create the surface rotation
Step #3.Create fillets
Step #4.Create an octagon sketch on the top view
Step #5.Surface extrusion, offset 100, extrusion height 40
Step #6.Enter 3D sketching and use spline curves to connect the end points of the octagonal surface stretched in the previous step.
Step #7.Create the following sketch on the right view, a straight line (this straight line is the outline used for subsequent scanning)
Step #8.Surface-Sweep, the Profile line is a straight line and the path is a circle, and the guide line is the spline created in the above step
Step #9.Hide the extruded surface, enter 3D sketch, select the intersecting curve, and select the two surfaces as shown below.
Step #10.Create a surface-sweep with a scan circle size of 1.8mm, as shown in the figure below
Step #11.Thickened trash basket body
Step #12.Display the extruded surface, create a rectangle as shown below on the front view, and use the extruded cut command to completely penetrate the body
Step #13.Circular pattern, select entity, angle 15, quantity 6, cancel equal spacing option
Step #14.The combination, look at the final effect in the picture below
